Fire Victim Fundraiser - Poker Tournament
Last Saturday, January 6, 2007 in Sacramento, CA the Saephan and Bienh family fell
victim
to a house fire.  While the family was sleeping the house caught on fire (cause yNatalie Saephanet unknown).  The ensuing fire left 9 year-old Natalie with burns over 25% of her body (including her entire face).  In addition, her 55 year-old grandmother Mouang was burned over 19% of her body, and tragically, her cousins, 9 year-old Annie and 7 year-old Kyle, lost their lives in the fire.  They are an immigrant family and don't have much in terms of support or finances.  The Shriner's Children's Hospital has taken Natalie in free of charge, while her grandmother is receiving care at the UC Davis Medical Center.

Asian Underground will host a fundraiser to help support the family as they try to piece their lives back together.  Next Saturday, January 20th we are hosting a poker
tournament.  The buy-in will be a $30 donation.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three players in the tournament.

Dinner will be provided by our generous sponsors at L&L Hawaiian Barbeque, Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, and Mikuni Sushi.  We'll also have other games and activities
for those not interested in playing in the tournament (Nintendo Wii, Karaoke, Origami Stars project for Natalie, and more).
